don't come after me

i've tried for so long to let you go

let me go

you don't truly love me like you say you do

i try to look away from your eyes

as you hold my face in your hands

because i know i am weak

and so do you

as soon as i look in your eyes

i melt

i feel a sharp twist in my chest 

and i don't want to let you go

its been too long

i need to move on

you left me once

for one of my friends

yet you tell me you love me

you tell me to hold on

i try to walk away

but another part of me says to stay

i need you to help me let you go

because i know i cant do it on my own

i need you to tell me to let you go

because my grip on our past is too strong

i cant do this on my own

im not strong enough

i cant look directly at your face 

because i know deep down that ill stay

let go of my hand

it will be ok

dont look into my eyes

because the vortex in yours are too strong

just watch me as i go

you don't really love me

you will see
