Color Child

Color Child

A Poem by Kiah

Do your thing, Color Child

Keep glowing bold and bright

Be creative, be kind, be smart, be wild

Shine your colors with all your might

Let your laughing lavenders perfume the earth

Sashay your shimmering chartreuses

Bring out your blues that have bubbled since birth

Make your manic magentas your muses

Your spirit is a rainbow, a sparkling sprout

Its hues can move mountains and men

So never believe that your colors on the out

Are as powerful as your colors on the in

Do your thing Color Child

Keep glowing bold and bright

Be brave, be kind, be smart, be wild

Drop the world and take flight
