Hysterics

Hysterics

A Poem by Kiah

You smile in my face.

You laugh at my dark skin

That you often sliced with whip marks

You snicker at my unique figure

That you used to rape and exhaust

You guffaw at my loud voice

That you once silenced with a noose

You smile in my face.

You make fun of everything that I am,

Everything that you destroyed,

And then you tell me that I

Can't take a joke.

This poem is crude, and it may be offensive for some. However, we can't defeat our monsters until we face them dead on.
