Alice Down the Rabbit Hole

Alice Down the Rabbit Hole

A Poem by Bookworm1223

I am Alice as she goes,
Falling down the rabbit hole,
Falling, falling, falling.

All around are leering faces,
Books are falling from their cases,
Falling, falling, falling.

I do not know what waits below,
A lion's den or driven snow,
Falling, falling, falling.

The bottom is rushing now to meet,
The very air beneath my feet,
Falling, falling, falling.

But as the end does draw near,
I see naught but darkness, yet feel no fear,
Falling, falling, falling.

At last the end touches my breast,
And in the darkness I'm laid to rest,
Oh how I am fallen, fallen, fallen.
