To Be Complete

To Be Complete

A Poem by Bookworm1223

How does one describe being incomplete?
Not broken.
My pieces still remain.
Incomplete.
My puzzle pieces lay interlaced on  the table.
All that came in my shiny new box.
And yet...
I show only half the picture.
Then comes your box.
Tattered and torn.
Your pieces are dumped alongside mine.
The edges of your carefully jigsawed image are fraying.
You are worn.
And yet...
And yet your pieces snap so perfectly into mine.
Completing my unfinished picture.
Our frames locked together.
Our many pieces mingling together.
To be complete.
With you.
I am complete.
