Silly Foolish Girl

Silly Foolish Girl

A Poem by Bookworm1223

Silly foolish girl
With your
Silly foolish dreams.
You let yourself forget,
You let yourself believe.

Silly foolish girl,
With your
Silly foolish hope.
You thought you knew already,
You thought that you could cope.

Silly foolish girl
With your
Silly foolish life.
Couldn't see the train a'coming,
Couldn't feel the stabbing knife.

Silly foolish girl
With your
Silly foolish cares.
Thought you played the part so well,
Thought you put on lots of airs.

Silly foolish girl
With your
Silly foolish face.
Thought you were so mannered,
All your actions filled with grace.

But even silly foolish girls
With their
Silly foolish needs,
Might like to be protected
From the world's cruel and dirty deeds.

Very good. I like the structure and the repeating lines.

The world is a scary, horrible place filled with hideous monsters that want to eat our brains. Or, it's a beautiful, caring place filled with nurturing people who have our best interest at heart.

Take your pick. But it's actually both.
