Eyes Like Doors
A Poem by Bookworm1223
Haven't we all felt this way at one time or another?
Eyes Like Doors
Eyes like doors, Give away your soul, Spilling your secrets, Concealing your whole.
They smolder, they sparkle, They twinkle, they dance, Your eyes, full of light, Beg for a glance.
Your lips twitch, A humorless smile, Please, love, be happy, For only a while.
A single stolen moment, Soon lost into time, Brief precious seconds, I wish you were mine.
I'd hold you close, Cradle your heart, Kill it with kisses, We'd never part.
But that can't happen, It just won't be. Our lives always separate, You'd never love me.
Yet I watch from afar, Yearn for your touch. Leave you to live, But love you as such.

One sided loves are always tragic...but there is something about that emotion that stays with us even when we try to let it go

A single stolen moment,
Soon lost into time,
Brief precious seconds,
I wish you were mine.
The whole reading experience was awesome, however above lines were simply mesmerizing. Bravo!
