Ah what a haunting question that is! This is very interesting. I have never read a poem from the perspective of a rabbit. I think that takes an imaginative mind to get into the mindset of a rabbit, an animal, who does not have, obviously, the capabilities that we do. Great write
I don't think I would want Harvey shooting me in the arse, because I don't deserve it. I don't understand the thrill of hunting, myself. You can buy deer, rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, groundhog, quail, moose, elk, bear meat, etc., if you shop the country butcher shops. So, why go out and freeze your tail off, looking like Elmer Fudd hunting for Bugs Bunny. Just the expense of the outfits they wear, the guns and ammunition, and the tree stands, etc., would deter me. If sneaking up on an innocent little bunny rabbit and blasting his brains out is a person's idea of sport and a fun pastime, you have to really wonder.
Great write! It would be a lot different, if the shoe was on the other foot, wouldn't it?!
very creative poem. I admire your imagination which allows you to tap into the mind of a rabbit- (i dont think i could do that). What i like the most is the last line- Human season.
Yay! from the rabbit's mouth! I do love it when someone speaks for these creatures whose language we never comprehend(I can never call them dumb for its we who are deaf) .The last line-that makes you think how animals must view us!

I am over all a down to earth person. I always seek to find the truth. Truth is the elixir of life.
My writings are occasional, odd and unorganized. Simply random. more..
