Sometimes the light shines on us

and we forget who we are

Sometimes we remember ourselves

when we are blessed into darkness

But we can learn not to fear

how the light sees us

We can learn that there is always

light

We can learn that there is always

darkness

and we can learn

that the light does not control us

and we are us no matter how bright
