The End

in the end the Earth and ourselves as human beings will be our ultimate downfall. in the end we will destroy ourselves, only the angels are left to save us.

in the end the stars will fall down to join us

burning craters into the cracked earth

and the angels will carry us off into the clouds

their silvery wings bright in the afternoon sun

making sure we are safe from destruction

because below, Earth is tattering, breaking, tearing itself apart

in the end the sky will be our salvation

and the Earth our destruction
