Peace With God

Peace With God

A Poem by Kelly D. Burris

I'm here in the silence
the unknowing of my dilemma
what are the answers
who are they for?

God gently nudges me on
in the words of encouragement
friends are his voice
His peace transcends.

He is my cover and shelter
my Rock in who I trust
I trust Him with my secrets
to hide from the world.

He looks at them and irons out
the wrinkles and hands back to me
the workings of what is best for me
it moves easier- life that is
now that His peace is written all
over me.

It's odd that my best friend, and many of the people I know have this kind of unbreakable faith. I envy them. I talk to God..not sure he hears. I think he's mad at me. Great piece. Rain..

beautiful for sure. i love it, and i make fun of religious fanatics a lot but i am against the business of fake religion and worship i am not against true devotion. i think that true devotion is nothing to scoff at.

Oh, this is beautiful, Kelly. I loved the line about God's voice speaking through your friends... He never leaves us to fend for ourselves, there is always someone He sends to comfort...I truly loved this :)
