I Can't See

I Can't See

A Poem by Mortimer Brewster

The sun shining brightly in the sky
But I can't see I can't see
The blue oceans so big they are hard to quantify
But I can't see I can't see
the animals frolicking in the grass
But I can't see I can't see
The murals stunning in stained glass
But I can't see I can't see
The buildings stretching ever so higher
But I can't see I can't see
Cozy in the house next to the fire
But I can't see I can't see
the mountain ranges piercing through the clouds
But I can't see I can't see
Through the masses there is a face in the crowd
But I can't see I can't see
A voice so sweet it will mesmerize
But I can't see I can't see
A radiant smile that warms my eyes
Now all I see is you
