Tears

Tears

A Poem by Mortimer Brewster
"

This came to me after listening to the last line of a song

"
There is nothing you can do to make you appealing
You come at me with your emotions and I'll send you reeling
Then you will realize that causing you pain is the excitement I'm revealing
You are just a stepping stone a notch on my belt
You have been trying so hard thinking my heart will melt
But you didn't expect the hurt from the blast you have been dealt
The look on your face is priceless and I can't help but rub salt
In your wounds as you realize I wont take blame this is all your fault
I have no shame or remorse my emotions are locked in a vault
You sit in a corner crying as you relive all your fears
I look at you and need the daggers to continue its sears
And I smile and laugh as I shower under your tears
