Storm

Storm

A Poem by Kat

Storms swirl,

Oceans crash,

the land scape torn apart

the yelling wont stop, the fighting wont cease

however the ones who scream simply can't see

the child caught in the chaos, her heart breaking apart

her voice to frail to rise above the throb

Her heart grows cold as she tucks it away

safe from the pain of living through the day

no more friendships would reach its core

no more broken promises will ever hurt it more

Cold as her heart grows,

Dark as her eyes get,

the world isn't worth living

yet she plays her part well

Dark eyes in a bright face

cold heart in a friendly guise

no one sees yet what their mind denies

the storm in her heart has not calmed yet

the part she plays is becoming opressive at best

what is left for the child who everyone sees as a princess?

No longer content to be submissive

She batters the storm and reveals her temper

the fury she reveals is equal the frevor

who shall stand to face down the heat?

Who shall seek what has been forgot?

No hand reaches out,

No words to her ears

no heart to touch hers

no love to meet

the storm reaches it cresendo

the ocean breaks the levies

the hidden heart is broken

the play is at an end.
