This Can Be Named 'Love'A Story by K C MilanThis is not any fiction but observation over a very practical side of human beingsTHIS CAN BE NAMED ‘LOVE’ It was a special occasion and I
wanted to go home to another district town to celebrate the occasion and to
meet my ailing mother, wife and daughter. As capital city of the country and a place of all government, non-government and NGOs, mills, factories and industries people came here from different parts of the country for doing jobs or some kinds of works to maintain livelihood and most of them have to leave behind their families at village homes. This may be one of the main reasons behind their tendency of going home seen on every occasion especially on Eid-ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Fitr. But why are so many people on rush for going home today? I thought. Soon I found the reason. Reason was three off days. 26 March, the independent day of the country and declared holiday by the government and prior to that Friday and Saturday, weekends. They want to spend these three days with near and dear ones back at home. What can it be termed but love? Love is one of the excellent attributes of human beings which people show in different ways and different situation to different people. Parents love their children and children love their parents. Wives love their husbands and husbands love their wives and the same thing happens to a boy and a girl. We see for love people do sometimes what initially seems impossible. We know what Chandi Das did for Rajokini, Dev Das for Parboti, Farhad for Shiri and so on. Even in essence of every religion we see unfathomable love of God for His creations. In the book of John 3:16 of the Holy
Bible of Christianity we see "For
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life". While I was remembering love of God especially love of Jesus for human beings one more thing came to my mind that is Jesus Christ not only died on the cross but resurrected after three days and went to Heaven to prepare/build eternal houses for us (John 14:2-3). Have we ever thought that the house is eternal and built by God? Have we ever thought that someday we would go there and live for ever and ever? Shouldn't we take preparation? © 2016 K C Milan |
