“Tears Bring Nothing But Sympathy”

This is absolutely out of my personal experience and observation.

First I am telling this apprehending my experience and observation may differ from that of others and some people may be hurt at my words.
However, if I want to say something from my experience I have to go back to my early life of some twenty years ago. A poor man of my village named Komol Roy was suffering from stomach pain. He saw a doctor who suggested him to go through a minor operation. Though operation was minor but was the matter of necessity of a handsome amount of money which was beyond his capacity.
He was married and a father of two minor children-a son and a daughter. He was the only person to income by giving others his hard labor on daily basis payment. But because of his ailment in stomach he was unable to work.
He had brothers and sisters, relatives and friends but they were too poor to help him. He was fallen in a helpless situation. As far as my knowledge goes he tried hard to find any alternative but in vain.
Without finding any alternative he started begging.
In begging he was successful in way of convincing everyone to give him whatever he/she can.
Within a very short period of time he was able to collect money which was more enough than necessary for his operation.
In the field of begging he was so successful that generated a curiosity among the villagers to ponder over reason behind his success.
It was known later reason was his tears. He used his tears as weapon to make people sympathize towards him.
He went under a successful operation and got complete healed.
Much later after that I went to village and got to know that Komol Roy along with his family left the village and went to another place for nothing but begging only. He took up begging as profession. I was happy hearing that he was doing well.
Very recently I heard from one of relatives in village that Komol Roy died and his son and daughter took the charge of his profession-begging. What does it mean?
It means nothing but gives a valuable understanding-'Tears bring sympathy and sympathy brings weakness, dishonor and dependency'.
As my profession demands I go to different places of the country and sometimes out of the country to attend religion based training programs and seminars. I see many people, even many youngsters wail, weep, cry breaking down into tears to attain grace, mercy and sympathy of God. But God is not so generous to give his grace, mercy and show his sympathy as they ask. God takes time, a long time, months after months, years after years.
I met a young man two year ago and I met him again the other day.
He came to attend the same training as previous one.
Like previous time this time too I saw him crying shedding tears while praying for mercy of God. I called him to another place nearby but at a little distant from other people and asked as smoothly as possible to tell the reason behind his crying.
"Nothing but for blessings of God," he told.
"I saw you two year ago crying for the same blessings. Have you not received so far?" I asked again.
"No, I've not. I'm still waiting." He answered.
This made me to ponder over reason of his failure in receiving God's blessings. While I was pondering a number of questions generated and were hitting my mind. Is God hard, not generous, kind? Or is God really existed?
After spending a good junk of time in pondering I came to a conclusion. Yes, God is generous, God us kind. But the young is not spiritually mature to the level of receiving His blessings.
First along with him we all should understand that tears may be awarded with sympathy but not blessings. Blessing is practical thing. It is a reward, a prize for good deed.
Secondly we should keep it in mind that God has given us not only tears to shed but also He has given us brain, talent, thinking power, different kinds of limbs like ears, nose, mouth, hands and legs. God has given us all these things as gifts. To be awarded with blessings or rewards we should use all these gifts appropriately or in a proper way.
