High AboveA Poem by kcalel825In the eyes of an eagle i see my love Oh! It hovers so far, so high above It stays out of reach Almost out of sight One day I’ll be complete I must keep up the fight Friends they come and go but memories will live on From a righteous river love will flow From a firmly planted tree love will grow From the sunset of mountain peaks love will glow On that day you find true love, you will know Only keep your fears in plastic bottles For they won’t break, no they won’t splatter Inside I ache and deep further I batter Asleep or awake it doesn’t matter Sleepless nights and wet pillow cases Sometimes I even forget how to tie my shoe laces They say love shows the way But they also said love is blind If you're in the middle of May That means June is right behind In this world of love I was meant to stay But my heart has been treating me so unkind In this game I always play I swear I got it right this time I’ll sing a song I’ll write another line Save that extra strength for there's to come another
