A Poem by Loria Amnekia

Another poem I grabbed from my long-forgotten blog. I checked over my computer, and it appears that I forgot to put my poems on it. Since I'm not at home at the moment, I don't have access to my hard copies, so I suppose grabbing them from my own blog w

Round and round
The wheel turns round.

Whose turn is it to spin?
Where will it stop?

What will be the theme tonight?
What will we fight about?

Round and round
The wheel turns round.

I’m tired of this game.
I want off this ride.

Can’t we stop now?
Do you really want to go again?

Round and round
The wheel turns round.

This game is tiring me out.
I don’t have the energy for this.

How can we keep this up?
Night after night we play this game.

Round and round
The wheel turns round.

Have we covered everything yet?
Are we done fighting yet?

Round and round
The wheel turns round.

Another fight
Another day.

We can’t keep going like this.
It’s going to tear us apart.

Round and round
The wheel turns round.

One of these days
We are going to fall.

I think you've captured what it's like in a relationship when times are hard and fights come often. I've been married 31 years and believe me, I know what this is like...been there, done that---glad we don't anymore ;-)
