Her Final Sin

Her Final Sin

A Poem by Kaitlyn Boehm
"

Everyone has those moments when you're angry at the world and need to let it all out, sometimes at one person. Later on you may regret it, but you can't help it. What is done is done.

"

She watched her mother with eyes of rage

Her ember hair with hints of sage

She wished her mother would stop to say

All was forgiven, she could stay

She left her in the dark abiss

Sent her off with just a kiss

The kiss left a scar upon her cheek

Leaving the child both strong and weak

The darkness loomed as her journy began

No footprints left within the sand

With tears of blood and a taste of hate

She prayed her mom a single fate

Her head threw back to hit the rain

With every drop a hint of pain

A scream that traveled amongst the wind

The final fateful solemn sin
