Fixless

Fixless

A Poem by kbob
"

I'm broken, but not in need of repair

"

This hole where my heart was

It burns me to my core

Don’t feed this fire water

For then I’ll desire once more

This hole where my mind was

It falls deep into nothingness

But it subsides some pain

Makes this breaking hurt less

This hole where my breath was

It has never been refilled

I lost it when she broke me

I lost it when I was killed

These things are missing

But they are not missed

These things allowed me to feel

But refused to allow me to resist

It would be futile to try to hurt me

There is little left to hurt

But it’s better this way

With my face already in the dirt

Don’t try to bring me down

For you can’t break the broken

Don’t try to lift me up

Don’t say the unspoken

Leave me as I am

Less than but a man

Don’t help me if you could

Don’t save me if you can
