Ailing RoseA Poem by kbjamiBasically how I feel when it comes to me and how I've sort of not seen my father who has Alzheimer since I can't really take it . . . also it's be made into a songWeaker with each breath I knew that I never meant For any cause of streaming tears Yet I abandoned the love and fears So I bow my head in infinite shame And I'll take on any forsaken blame I sadly did not tend to the ailing rose I just did not suppose That I should have been there more But I couldn't take much more When looking into the eyes of it One could never fully understand the shift Where you are lost within its mind one's emotions are not too kind I sadly did not tend to the ailing rose But I just did not suppose That I should have been there more But I couldn't take much more And when it all hits home You sit right there to write a poem But your mind never understands And so my guilt is marked on my hands
