I Can SlipA Poem by that-little-green-monsterThis poem is about picking yourself up after you fall.
I can slip,
Because I'm not afraid to fall. I don't need someone there to pick me up, For I'm fine on my own. I can slip, Because no one knows it when I do. I can slip, Because it's natural for me to. Though it's embarrassing, And my pride is hurt, I'm able to pick myself up, Which many people are afraid to do. I can slip, Because I am brave. I am not afraid to meet questioning eyes. And though I can't answer all the questions you ask, For I don't know the answer, I can stand with my head high. I can slip, Because I can slip, And not fall down. © 2012 that-little-green-monster |
