Everything Left Unsaid

Communication is key.

When everything is left unsaid,
We can never really flourish.
Neither one of us wants to be the first to say,
"I can no longer live this way."
For once the words are spoken,
It will never be the same.
And we both are afraid to change.

We run around in circles,
Tiptoeing around the glass,
Already cracked.
We don't dare,
Shatter the glass separating us,
We're too afraid to get cut.
So we have everything left unsaid.

You've already found all the chinks in my armor,
And the crack in our path grows wider.
The tapestry of our love story is unraveling,
But we still leave everything unsaid.

I love the imagery of brokenness: in communication, hearts, glass dividing you, armor, the tapestry, and ultimately the relationship. Great work, and a very well portrayed theme.
