Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by that-little-green-monster
"

This poem is about someone that fights against a government controlling every aspect of your life. Based off a few different books.

"

Don't tape my mouth shut,

Because I will still learn to scream.

Don't bind my hands tight,

Because I will still fight.

Don't rip up my words,

Because I will still write.

Don't force me to move,

Because I go at my own pace.

Don't tell me to sing,

Because I will only sing for freedom.

You won't be able to control me,

Because I am too strong to be tied down.

You won't be able to silence me,

Because I'm too loud to be covered.

You won't be able to hide me,

Because I'll make sure I'm seen.

I am stronger than you,

Because I believe.

I believe in a world where we can all be free.

You can lock me up,

In a cell damp and dark,

But I will never be forgotten,

Because I'm the one that fights for something people never dare to dream.

I liked the message in this one, really inspirational. I also can't believe that some of the writers on here are only in HS, it blows me away, lol!
