The Cruel Joke

How awful love can be.

The cruelest joke I've ever seen,

Is someone falling in love.

Their sighs disturbs the ocean breeze,

And their tears flood the sea.

 

I've seen it all,

The lovers' smiles and laughs.

But with love its a double edge sword,

So you'll always get hit.

 

I'd like to think love is all happiness,

That joy radiates from you with each step.

But from what I learned and watched,

Is the misery creeps up behind your back.

And although love isn't all bad,

It's the cruelest joke I've ever seen.
