Invisible GirlA Poem by that-little-green-monsterInvisible Girl is a poem about a girl who is bullied and how she wished it she could become invisible to end it. But people want her to be seen because they care about her.Invisible, She just wanted to disapeer, Leave without a trace, Because she thought she'd never be missed. Invisible, Leaving it all behind, Seeing what people say about her, Instead of hearing it from someone else. Invisible, Other students complained about it, But she would gladly take it. It's better than everyone knowing your name, And laughing at your reputation. Invisible, Why couldn't she achieve it? Some people have no trouble. Her "friend" pittied her, And nowhere held comfort. Invisible, But would it achieve peace? Would it silence the hateful words? Would it quiet the laughs? Invisible, "People have it much worse, You're lucky you're not orphaned, Or kidnapped, Or starving." She'd tell herself. But she'd always came back to the same thought, "You'd be better off gone." Invisible, So no one could see her pain, Not that they ever did. So no one would see her cry, Not that they ever noticed. So no one would know all of her troubles, Not that they ever cared. Invisible, She tried to blend in, Mix in with the walls, But she got lonely, And everyone was forcing her to be, Visible. © 2012 that-little-green-monster |
