Warrior

Warrior

A Poem by kaylynn wright
"

the battle within me.

"

You take away my weapons

Leave me there in darkness

I try and make peace

For I don’t want this battle

So long. I’ve let you take over,

Controlling me,

I’m a one man army,

You are the enemy,

Thousands come at once,

Striking me in all directions.

Now I am standing up, ,

Fighting back,

Because I am not letting you.

Control my life anymore.

I am strong,

I am not alone,

my heads held high,

As I enter this battle.

Sword in hand.

Shield by my side.

I am ready to fight,

Blood can spread across my flesh,

Each wound that makes a home is

A remembrance to the fight

That changed eternity.

The smile across my face,

Will be the flag ,

That ends this battle,

forever.
