Jesus Loves The Little Children

This is the song that i wrote for my youth group praise band for a contest:)

Jesus loves the little children.

He wants them all to come to him.

What are we doing?

We're losing a generation, a people, a nation.

Those little eyes are seeing.

Those little ears are hearing.

Those little wheels are turning.

And those little hands are reaching for something more than this world is offering.

Let's give 'em hope.

Let's give 'em love.

Let's give 'em something to believe in.

Let's give 'em more.

This time we're offered is slippin' through our fingers.

Can't waste this power we're given.

Let's use our lives for something better.

Let's help out.

Let's hit the ground runnin'.

Let's catch the world by surprise.

I want to change the path these little kids are destined for.

I want to make them a brighter future.

Let's show 'em how to wish.

Let's show 'em how to dream.

Let's show 'em how to be everything they were made to be.

My favorite part was when you say "Let's hit the ground runnin'...." and the rest after that. I think it's cool that this is a song, sounds like something I'd want to hear. This poem is so full of hope...like the other commenters have written. Really, I like it.
