they come and go (being beautiful with no purpose)

they come and go (being beautiful with no purpose)

A Poem by mikayla baldwin

A flower
sways as she sprouts
with the way of the wind
waiting for the rain to
reach her roots again

A bee
lands on her lavender petals
as quick as he came, he take what he needs
he wants to see other flowers
as beautiful as she

Another
follows her sweet scent
by the warm summer breezes
she greets him, petals open
but like his kin, he does as he pleases

A fertilized flower
watches bees come and go like seasons
but she knew she'd wither in snow
she wonders which one will stay,
surrounded by flowers that have grown happy

I like this a lot and I'm sorry to see there aren't more comments. I don't get many anymore myself.
I like the fact that you mentioned he and she. :)
