Internal Bliss

Internal Bliss

A Poem by Kaylee

Layers of skin wither, exposing both beauty and flaw.
Light and dark collide, leaving heart opened and raw.
Laugh and be laughed with; cry and be dismissed.
Acceptance is rare; create internal bliss.
Souls flee when united; life becomes a joke.
Fires blaze deep within; we are blinded by the smoke.
A breath and a smile are all you need amongst judging eyes.
Another world exists beneath for few to recognize.
Cling to love, for it is not always loyal; first it must be true.
Have secretive reasons for smiling that the world wish it knew.
