Desperate Rage

Desperate Rage

A Poem by Kaylee

Hearts go numb with anger’s power.
Inside a corner of a chest, they cower.
Words slice through the skin, past the bone, and into the soul.
With pain almost comfortable, silent tears take their toll.
Their destination as unclear as yours, mind and heart a mess.
Cling to the love around you; there is darkness to confess.

I like the use of 'darkness to confess', a reminder that every person has their scarring secrets.

Thanks. People tend to forget that a lot.
