Nowhere To HideA Poem by Kaylee MarlinI walk this world in the day, To stay away from the night, Afraid of what would come my way, When the darkness swallows the light. When you’re coming for me, I run for my life, And all I can see, Is that you’re holding a knife. You stab me in the heart, And all that I could feel, Is that we were being pulled apart, By a pain so real. It’s hard not to cry, While we’re lying side-by-side, It’s truly a cruel way to die, When there’s nowhere to hide. © 2013 Kaylee Marlin |
