Open My Eyes

Cloak my eyes with velvet silk,

And lead me to a wondrous place,

Where a sun is setting upon the clouds,

Fly me up into the sky,

And lay me down on a blushing cloud,

Where the wind unwraps my blindfold,

That keeps me from seeing beauty,

And as I gaze across the horizon,

The cloud that I lay on,

Slowly floats to the ground,

With my first steps I look around me,

And now beauty is all that I see.

Love the imagery in your poem Kaylee. You took me to another world, far away from the trouble and strife all around us. Beautifully penned. I enjoyed this so much. Write on!
