It’s all I can do to keep from dying.  To keep from yelling that it’s your entire fault.  For one thing, you always knew what to say.  Whether I was angry, sad, hurt, frustrated, or just lonely.  Somehow, you knew.  I don’t know how, but you did.  It got annoying, because I could never hide anything from you.  So you started to see how I really felt about you.

            I was shocked when those feelings left and almost relieved. But you still saw me. I tried to hide, but that just made you seek me out. There wasn’t anything I could do to keep you away. The rain that wouldn’t end, but it was almost a pleasant rain. Cool, collective, calm.
