New Confidence

Freshman this year so i took my nervousness and turned it into inspiration lol

I dont see the people
Because my eyes are on my feet.
I dont hear the voices...
Because I'm walking to my own beat.

My books hide my face.
My hair hides my eyes.

I walk into the classroom
With silent footsteps
And wary glances.
Wondering what I'm doing here.

Then something blooms inside me.
It lifts my head,
And lights my eyes.
My steps are loud.
I'm not afraid anymore.

I sit in the seat,
A gentle smile on my face.
They come to say hello
Because they know I'm not afraid.

I love this newly found Confidence!
