Monsters

Monsters

A Poem by Kaylamarie5101

Monsters

What is the feeling we get,

when we lay awake in our rooms

alone,

thinking about unexisting sorrows that shoot through our minds,

but we are the ones who draw the bow.

We create our own monsters,

with a needle and thread,

and when the sun falls

and the stars awaken,

we stuff those monsters under our bed.

And our tears escape their dark prison,

and they swim down our cheeks

to meet with their friends on the cloud beneath our heads,

while we lay awake

creating the razored mouthed monsters

Just beneath our beds

I like this. I especially like the vision of the tears escaping from their dark prison, swimming down our cheeks. Very, very good! Keep writing. You have a lot of talent. I can't wait to read more of your work. :)
