The Lack of Butterflies

The Lack of Butterflies

A Poem by Kayla~Lynae

Butterflies all around
this small ugly baby.
He sits in the stomach
of an innocent young lady.

Make no mistake.
This girl is not with child,
but a creature grows in her.
She's gone rather wild.

This black being,
he wanted to grow.
Or at least have some room
for his brothers to go.

He snatched all the butterflies
crowding his cave.
He ate them all up.
He left nothing to save.

He said to himself,
"I need explore!"
He tore through her organs.
He made his own door.

Into her head
he sat with her brain.
He ripped it right up
so the girl would stay sane.

So cluttered with siblings
he decided to leave.
He crawled to the heart.
What he saw was hard to believe.

Her heart was corrupt.
Rotting and Vile
chewed up by beings
in the most wicked style.

Our annoyed being sat
in the growing black crowd.
He let out a shout,
"I have to get out!"

He ran to the eyes.
He yanked them right out.
This awful grown woman,
she started to pout.

After sacrificing
Mind, Body, and Heart
this being was destined
to get out from the start.

Instead of enduring
an unpleasant purge,
through her own eyes
her lie did emerge

So full of lies
she became one herself
she crawled into others
family, friends, and her Lovers

For the rest of her life
she'll be filled full of lies
because this wretched old woman
ran out of butterflies
