Orphan

Orphan

A Poem by TheKaylaPup
"

She's living on the streets after witnessing the death of her parents, having given up her dreams and ambitions.

"
Falling leaves,
Falling dreams.
Death still lingers in the breeze.

Not so old,
Streets so sold,
An orphan child all alone.

Chilly air,
Arms so bare,
Fate so cruel and hardly fair.

Tear filled eyes,
She watched them die,
Still wishing it was all a lie.

There was a time,
her dreams could fly,
But now they've with her parents died.

Then she too dies,
Though no one cries,
She was just a street kid in their eyes.

Fallen leaves,
Fallen dreams,
Death does linger in the breeze.

This sort of reminded me of my all time favorite song... Morningside by Neil Diamond "....and no one cried, they simply turned away." Do you play the guitar?

Yes, it is excellent! If tera (terra) was a typo, I would keep it. Earth-filled eyes are so much broader than tear-filled eyes; however, I would properly spell "terra." Like the late Bob Ross, the painter, said, "It's a happy accident!!" However you choose to, finally, present this work to the work, the concept is delicious and deep.

You live for these random ones, don't you? Haha, nawn, this was good too. Although, there's one thing that bothers me... that tera part... Should it be tear? I think so, because tera is about earth...

Or maybe there's some deep symbolism there that my mind can't grasp? Haha, that happens too often to me too. I love how these poems tell a miniature story.
