Chapter 3A Chapter by kaylahardy120"I don't need you to come with me," I grunted with a forced smile, trying to shove Louis back inside. He wasn't budging on his decision to follow me to my classes, but I couldn't have him ruining my week of midterms. Again, he flashed his wrist at me and I groaned loudly. He didn't look too pleased himself. "You're going to be late," he growled, pointing at my watch and I sighed, releasing the door and sending Louis toppling on top of me. I huffed, trying to push him off of me, but he pinned my arms to the porch and grinned down at me. "You're not as bad from this position," he purred and I grunted, using all my force to flip him off of me. "You are disgusting," I hissed and he just laughed as he got in my car. "It's natural," he argued, but I ignored him as I started the car. "Oh wait, are you a virgin? Is that why it freaked you out?" Louis questioned and I gritted my teeth and tightened my grip on the steering wheel. "You looked like a virgin," he continued contently to himself. My cheeks flushed red and I chewed on the inside of my cheek. Why was I letting him get to me? He was purposely trying to rev me up and I was giving him just what he wanted! I shook my head, pulling into the parking lot. Louis hopped out, lighting a cigarette as I struggled to gather my backpack and the rest of my school supplies. Louis puffed on his cigarette, watching me happily. "Oh, screw you," I snapped, shoving past him and he chuckled stepping on the backs of my heels. "I wish you'd screw me," he whispered, seductively in my ear and I swallowed hard. I fiddled with the loose hairs falling from my ponytail and tried to concentrate on what my first midterm was going to be over. "I can help you, you know. Make you experienced," he continued and I stopped, closing my eyes and holding my head. "Louis, please stop. I need to focus on my midterms. After this week you can make all the stupid sex remarks you'd like, but please, I'm begging, let me focus," I whispered and Louis's eyes softened. He sighed, taking a drag from his cigarette and gave me one, stern nod. I sighed in relief and scurried to get to my class on time. When I got to the door, I held it open for Louis, but found him not behind me. I frowned and looked around for a moment, but I was already running late. I just hoped he was somewhere nearby because I couldn't risk getting sick today. When I got to my classroom, I sat down and let out a deep breath. My professor handed out the midterm and I stared down at the paper. I starting filling out my information, but as I went to start the exam, I couldn't stop thinking about where Louis was and if I was going to get sick. Would you just take your damn exam? Louis's voice rang out in my head and I dropped my pencil for a moment, looking around, but found him nowhere near. You said you needed to focus, so I'm giving you some space. I may not have told you about the ability I have to, you know, not bother you....as much anyway. I mean I could say more sexual comments or just say random words to bother you, but college is important so... I sighed, shaking my head with a smile. I felt relief and started the exam. * * * * Louis didn't show up again until after I finished all my exams and got home. He even let me take a nap before I heard commotion in the living room. I flew out of my bed and ran into the living room to find Louis dragging in a new TV, couch, chair and a gaming system. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked, still groggy from my nap. Louis just looked at me like I was stupid as he began pushing my old couch out the door. "Where did you get all of this?" I questioned, looking at the 50" flat screen TV and the leather couch that looked brand new. I closed my eyes and sighed, putting two and two together. "Louis!" I screamed, following him outside and stopping him from putting my couch on the curb. "Move!" he yelled, pushing the couch and me with ease. "No! You're going to return all of these things!" I cried, knowing that Greed was one of seven deadly sins and that Louis had knowingly stolen these items. "I worked hard to get this nice s**t for you!" he screamed, flipping the couch over. I stood back, panting and feeling fear rushing through my veins. "You can't steal things," I spoke softly, refusing to meet his gaze. "It's what I do, Noelle," he growled and I closed my eyes, shaking my head. There's good in everyone- even demons. I remembered what my mom had told me and I took a deep breath. "I don't care that you're a demon and if this is 'what you do'. There's good in you and we're going to find it," I spoke confidently and Louis just glared at me and laughed angrily. I expected him to argue with me, but to my surprise he lifted the couch onto his back and carried it back inside. He hauled the stolen items outside and I crossed my arms. He sighed exaggeratedly and within a moment, all the items disappeared right in front of my eyes. "Happy?" he asked, throwing his hands down and stomping back inside. I felt bad, but I felt good inside too. I'd just talked back to a demon, and he listened. I walked inside and saw Louis sulking on the couch. "We couldn't have at least kept the damn couch?" he grumbled and I sighed, sitting next to him on the couch. I took a deep breath and touched his hand; it was icy cold. He pulled his hand away sharply and he glared at me. "I'm sorry, Lou. You can't steal things; you just can't," I whispered and he sighed, letting his head fall back against the cushion and stared up at the ceiling. "You can't change me," he growled in a voice that genuinely sent chills through my body and I feared him. I swallowed hard and stood up. From that moment on, I made it my mission to find out who Louis Seafer was and to turn him from a demon to an angel. © 2017 kaylahardy120Author's Note
