Indomitable Reprobate.

Indomitable Reprobate.

A Poem by kayla_ajc
"

Can you ever accept yourself when your society can’t?

"

A reprobate to society screeches,

sounds of desperate pounding and thumping

fills my ears with hot blood

that pools out my mouth

and stain my ironed shirt

as I gash my throat open from

my laughter.

Sticky tears fall down my face

as the door begins to wobble

and the hinges begin to loosen.

Indomitable adrenaline,

it is a reaction to love and

this reprobate loves wrong.

You cant laugh the truth away.

Everything is still and quiet for a moment,

the door has fallen.

I stand on my wobbly legs and brace myself

for violence

or maybe revenge.

The room is calm,

seemingly untouched

and empty from life aside from

a singular object.

A mirror.
