Ode to MarilynA Poem by kayla<3Self-explanatory title: a poem dedicated to Marilyn Monroe.Bubbles rise across her chest as the bath water runs, engulfing her whole. The spectator watches, and she sips from a tall glass of champagne, teasing, smirking, showing the white teeth beneath the contrasting blood red lipstick. He says something funny, something witty, and she laughs, shooting back, "If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything". Another sip of bubbly sizzles down her throat as she bats mascara covered eyelashes, tipsy and feeling seductive. She rises from the tub, blonde hair curled, smirks and gives him a kiss. "I love you", he says, and she walks right by, his eyes on that perfectly lined back and sultry walk, hips moving back and forth with rhythm and rhyme to make him go crazy. She walks right out the bathroom, saying to herself: "A wise girl kisses but never loves, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left". -Ode to Marilyn Monroe- © 2012 kayla<3Author's Note
