denialA Poem by krystleI thought 'why didn't he text me today?' and then I thought 'damn, snap out of it.'He gets into her veins without even trying. One look from those eyes that know exactly what they are doing. It's like a venom that only hurts when you're not being bitten by him. every strum from every string on his guitar pulls her in slow motion, vibrates the blood in her veins that are now him. every poisonous word making their way to the back of her mind, to dig up on days beyond him. and even though she undoubtedly knew those days were inevitable and that he was nothing permanent and that this was nothing real she let him in with so much hope, even with knowing that was something he was so good at stealing.
