What would you do if you have the power to get your revenge?

Aria is obsessed with my looks because I have better looks and I am more talented than her. Aria's mother, Lavine, is like an abominable dragon ready to release a cosmic fire especially when she gets defeated by her enemy. They are prideful. They want all attention just to them. Lavine's brother Aculous is the same as Lavine's personality.

 

I forgot to Introduce myself though, my name is Jessica. People say I'm a famous artist in Russia. Perhaps! I’m not sure. My parents are gone because of Aculous, he killed them when I was younger. I saw it with my own eyes. Seventeen years ago, I joined one of the world’s famous competitions the Best Mosiac Paintings competition. Remembering that event brings back one of the most saddest moment of my life. I got blind. Darkness loomed over me. I was in the middle of the stage when I couldn’t see the audience because all lights were on my face. When I was about to let the audience take a look at my art the light glasses suddenly shattered and as I looked up the brittles got into my eyes which made me blind. That was a tragic thing that happened in my whole life because the doctors couldn’t find other eyes that would fit mine. I was sad because I know who is behind of all this.

 

I woke up and yell loudly for Mr. Alison to assist me. He is a trustworthy person and he is the one who took good care of me when I was young. He never left me even if I am a strict girl or difficult to deal with. Who cares? I'm a spoiled brat! I want to go out to have some fresh air.

 

There is this boy that he cannot be seen nor be heard. He laid down on the bench peacefully. He said, “finally, a peaceful place! I wonder if people can see me?” Suddenly, a leaf fell from the tree and landed on the boy. The boy read what is written on the leaf: "You should protect someone stubborn."  The boy just ignored what he read. Meanwhile, Jessica arrived at the bench but she did not see the boy. Jessica sat on the bench and felt relaxed a bit. "My time will come you'll see Lavine" Jessica said to herself. "Wah, what's the mood in here?" the boy said. The boy knew that Jessica wouldn’t hear him. But he was wrong. "Who's in there?" Jessica quickly asked. She was a bit shocked hearing someone talking near her and so she prepared herself to a self-defense position with her white cane ready to smash anyone anytime. But the boy asked "What's your name?" Jessica answered him "who are you?" Then the boy just realized that he talked to a human. The boy freaked out, he looked at Jessica and wave at her eyes, but Jessica did not even blink. The boy realized, Jessica is blind.

 

Jessica can hear a car sound moving fast to her. But the boy saw it and he protected Jessica. But Jessica managed to remove the hands of the boy from her body because she felt uncomfortable. But the boy was a bit annoyed and carried Jessica high up to the sky. The car driver, a hired killer, saw her flying by herself. Since, Jessica was saved by the boy, the maleficent Lavine gritted her teeth of disappointment and shouted devilishly because again she failed to kill Jessica.

 

The boy flew Jessica away from the woman whom he felt suspicious about. He thought that it could be Jessica's enemy. Lavine followed Jessica and the boy thought of a plan. "Exactly, the bridge." The boy flew straight to the bridge and since the bridge was under construction it's the best way to interrupt Lavine in her car driving because she was focused on Jessica. Just how the boy planned, it worked!

 

Jessica was still confused about what had happened at that moment. The boy brought Jessica to the Church. Kaji appeared in front of the boy. "Alris, where you've been! I've been searching for you Heaven is calling you."

Jessica was still unconscious. The boy said, "I saw this girl, and there's this woman who wanted to kill her."

 

Kaji brought Jessica to the clinic room of the church and called Alris to the altar. "This is your mission Alris. That girl needs your help." Alris was shaking. Kaji asked him, "You want to ascend to Heaven?" Alris eagerly nod, "If you fail to protect her you will not ascend to heaven and you'll disappear forever." Alris promised that he will take a look at her and protect her. Kaji snapped his fingers and Jessica and Alris are now in Jessica's mansion.

 

Kaji made Alris a half-angel and a half-human being for Alris to apply as Jessica’s bodyguard. All of Jessica’s assistants were attracted to Alris but Jessica made it clear to them that he is his bodyguard from now on.

Jessica went to her office with Alris. "Alris your mission is to search for a pair of eyes for me to gain sight again and to see my enemies and take revenge on them."

"But that is not easy for me to do it,” Alris replied worriedly. “I need to protect you always and I should not leave you alone." But his reply triggered Jessica, "I said you search a pair of an eye!" “Okay, if you insist!” surrendered Alris, “but when you got into trouble you may not see me nor hear me when I fail to protect you.”

Alris patiently searched for a pair of eyes that would fit Jessica's. He went to many far places to scout for eye donors. He couldn't find even a single donor but he kept trying until he found one in a luxurious hospital. He discovered that a pair of eyes is cost 12M dollars. Alris had no choice but to buy the donor’s eyes for Jessica.

When Alris returned from his mission, he informed Jessica that he found a pair of eyes for her. Jessica called her doctor to check and examine the eyes. One of Jessica’s household assistant was a mule of Lavine. She went out of the mansion and reported the information to Lavine.

 

Unsurprisingly, Lavine’s dark emotions were burning up again because her niece is about to regain her eyesight. She knows that once Jessica regained her eyesight she will lose everything. She went to the hospital before Jessica could get her eyes. The day after Alris got the pair of eyes it's the day of Jessica's operation. Yet the doctor told her, "Sorry, but one of my workers lost the pair of eyes." Jessica went mad. She knew it was Lavine’s work. She stormed out from the hospital with Alris and went straight to Lavine but Alris stopped her, "Don't worry, I have another pair of eyes in case something happens." "But this cost much you bought 2!!" "Well, the hospital made the price half since I got 2 pairs of it.

 

They ran to the operation room. After 4 hours, she regained her eyesight without anyone knowing it except for Alris and the doctors. Jessica was sleeping serenely and Alris told the doctors not to tell anyone about her operation.

 

"Alris, it's time for us to get revenge on them." They quickly got all the papers that Jessica’s parents legally signed and authenticated stating that all her needs and even the company will be given to her. Jessica also made to bring a witness to testify about the incident that made her blind during the painting competition which will bring Lavine and her family to jail. Lavine's family were irritated and shouted at Jessica, "Jessica I will kill you once I get out of the jail!!" But that will never happen again. Jessica fell in love with Alris. But after her revenge on Lavine's family which completes the mission of Alris, he suddenly disappeared seeing Jessica up from the Heaven. Jessica was thankful to Alris because without him she might not have gained her eyesight and took revenge on those who hurt her the most.

This reminds me of a certain k-drama hehe.
The story is really good and I think it would be better as a novel with more chapters than just a short story because some of the parts, especially the end, felt a bit rushed. Also, I think some characters need to be explored, like Aria and Aculous.
Either way, it had great storytelling and I really enjoyed reading it!! :))
