Dark PassengerA Poem by kayamon215As you look out to the world you see your destiny. You look into the eyes of a stranger and you see very vividly a cross between your masked persona and your dark passenger. You see, the mask is what everyone sees. They only get to see what you want them to, but deep down we all have an animal inside us just waiting to be unleashed from the darkness. When you're around others it's a struggle to keep this dark passenger hidden. What people see us as is all illusions. We spend our whole lives trying to find someone to love our mask, but that's why most people never work out. You have to find someone who really understands you. Someone just like you. Someone who accepts your dark passenger. I'm possessed by an evil demon who just won't leave me alone. I face a disease that can't be cured. They just send you places to patch it up to get you to the next stop. A disease of addiction and no matter how much I say I want to be clean. How many times I go to rehab or how many times I go to an AA and NA meeting, my disease proceeds to follow me everywhere. I feel safe in The Rooms but as soon as I step foot out of that place, sure enough there's my disease guzzling down steroids with muscle milk doing push-ups waiting on the opportunity for me to slip so it can kick my a*s up and down the street.
