An Invitation

An Invitation

A Poem by kayama
"

To be put in the beginning of every book ever written.

"
Perhaps this most gracious of invitations should be extended to you,

after all you are the greatest guest that has ever walked the halls of imagination

You simply waltz into greatness so suddenly

you don't even realize where you are

everything around you glimmers and is so full of mystique

that nothing can stop you,

I speak as if an invitation is needed,

why, you can come if you please,

unto the halls of splendor

the ever changing scenery

from forest to city, the grand ballroom of curiosity

but from where do I speak?

I am simply the narrator,

but what good is that, when every other detail

is magically filled in by you

the most gracious host,

the best benefactor,

Welcome to the world of reading,

my dear reader.
