In Those Young Eyes

In Those Young Eyes

A Poem by kayama

These times have changed

I can now look into the eyes of the young

I can still see the hope

I can still see the future

But now I also see pain

Their is a darkness

That can smudge the picture

These eyes are not how they used to be

The eyes of the young can still change

I see the look of content

The utter bliss of young love

And the sickening look of hatred

These eyes are always changing

But the hope always pireces through

As I look into those eyes

Somthing stares back

These eyes have a mind of their own

And my eyes are too broken to see anymore

I can only hope that those eyes

Can see the future bright

As mine once did.
