back then

back then

A Poem by kayama

You said you would give it all

But you wouldn't leave a thing

You promised me the world

Only so you could take it back

You are the tyrant who controlled me

You are the fraud who cheated me

You are the monster who attacked me

You are the one who is guilty

But I am the fool who believed you

Back then

Your eyes sparkeled with truth

Your lips seemed to overflow with joy

Your face would radaite with hope

And yet you fell from your grace

I had looked up to you

Wishing that I could be with you

Now Its all I can do

Not to spit at you.

Oh I LOVE this!!!! It's so true.... ringing in my ears... another frog in prince clothing. It's a sad thing when we go from one end of the spectrum to the other. Of course, with people, it's so easy to do. I love the brilliant ending and the emotive energy in this piece!
It's funny....when looking for love how blind we can be to the little monsters beneath. : ( I like to paint everyone pretty....which definitely gives me the ability to relate to this!!
