That's Love

That's Love

A Poem by Kay J.

To feel truly is asinine
Stick with what you know
No questions
No comments
No heart and shallow breathing

My head is underwater
I let the sea fill into my lungs
The euphoria of suffocation overcomes me
That's love

Snide remarks and low hits
My abdomen is bruised
As are my knees when they hit the floor to please you
That's love

I crave something more
I don't know where it comes from
The dullness and lack of excitement and fullfillment of my life
Or maybe I crave a deeper meaning to a relationship that I cling to

What is love?
There are so many answers
But when you stop loving yourself
There is no possibility of knowing how to love another

So so true .... great imagery and emotion of the pain and the questions we ask ourselves ... Excellent!
