     TONIGHT

 

Away from the chaos

Far away from the noise

Here I am tonight

Sitting above the craggy mountain

Dwelling in your thoughts

Consumed by your love

Shadowed by your memories.

 

I have seen the river of blood

I walked on the street of thorns

And dwelt in the house of pain

Yet I have survived…

 

Tonight

I hold the pen again

To scribble out my heart

Let me paint tonight

Let me write again

Let me voyage through the ocean of emotion

Let me soar in the stream of desire.

 

My heart is heavy

My soul cries out loud

My world is enclosed in your presence

Perfumed by your scent

Yet far beyond my reach

Can I draw just one word?

Can I be an artist tonight?

 

Tonight

I will dust my note

Try to write

Try to swim in the stream of poetry

Even if only

If only it’s for him….
