It was happier than usual. No rain. Tran jumped out of his cabin and landed swiftly on the wet ground. “Where are you going, Tran?” Muri stood behind her. Her hand clasped tightly together. “Demons?” Tran turned his head by an inch and smiled slightly. “Ahan… You stay here with Sayii, okay? She’s not feeling well ever since she ran into the rain yesterday” “She did what?” “Playing in the rain, probably,” Tran turned back, adjusted his collar and shot away to the woods in front of him. His movements could not be measured. He was incredibly quick on his feet. Muri kept her eyes at his direction, even though she couldn’t see him. She sighed, spun around and walked lethargically towards Sayii. Sayii was sleeping on Tran’s couch. A blanket was draped around her body. She coughed. “It’ll be okay Sayii…” Muri patted her head softly. “You’ll be fine in no time” Sayii coughed once more. She half opened her eyes. “Mu...ri…?” “Yes?” “Where’s… Tran?” “He’s gone to fight demons” “More demons?” Sayii frowned. She pulled herself up and clenched her teeth. “When will he understand?” “What’s wrong with fighting demons?” Muri raised an eyebrow. “I fight them too” “You’re all crazy. Killing people like us… You’re all murderers!” Sayii threw the blanket aside. “And besides what am I doing here? I thought I collapsed in the rain yesterday… Near the fountain…” “Tran said that you were playing in the rain… I guess he must’ve carried you back when you got sick” “Playing in the rain my foot!” Sayii stomped up. “I was trying to run away!” “Run away?” “I can’t live with murderers like you guys… Besides… you’ll just end up killing yourselves one day… Like my sister…” Sayii shook her head. “Forget it…” She moved to the basin and splashed some water on her face. There was a minute of silence before Sayii looked back at Muri and smiled, “And when I’m gone… I want you two to take care of yourselves, okay?” “You’re not leaving, Sayii,” Muri answered plainly. “Tran would not allow you to.” “I don’t need his permission,” Sayii said. Her voice muffled as she dried her face with the towel. “He won’t like it,” Muri warned in a melodious way. “I don’t care,” Sayii jumped out of the cabin and headed off towards the road slowly and calmly. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you!” Muri shouted back and sighed. Then she said in a low voice. “There goes another family member…”
